1978

Telephone marketing tests for renowned pharmaceutical and chemical companies.

1979

The first telephone sales center is set up, with a debut for telephones with headphones.

1987

walter services is the first service provider to offer telephone consultation and take orders for potential customers of advertising shows on RTL.

2000

An online customer center is opened.

2007

walter TeleMedien Gruppe changes its name and that of its subsidiary to walter services GmbH creating an umbrella brand.

2009

walter services and ver.di create the first branch-wide collective wage agreement for call center employees.

2012

The brand homechannel24 with its pioneering work@home concept is introduced.

2014

Starting January 1, 2014, the management team around Meinolf Brauer is responsible for the relaunch of the walter services group.

2015

Meinolf Brauer takes on the entire walter services group as managing proprietor via management buyout from H.I.G. Private Equity.

2016

Cloud services entered the market with the new brand walter cloud services. Awarded the renowned innovation award for IT 'Best of 2016' from the Initiative Mittelstand in the categories cloud computing and telecommunications. Honored as one of the most family friendly companies, on the basis of both a questionnaire for parents and statistics, in two branch categories ‘Internet, telecommunications and IT’ and ‘Employee services, consultation, agencies, natural science and technology’.
